By mimicking the natural feline facial pheromone, Feliway creates a state of familiarity and security in the cat's local environment.
Therefore, Feliway can be used to comfort and reassure cats while they are coping with a difficult situation, and/or to reduce the stress caused by a change in a cat's environment: e.g. moving house, travelling, boarding kennels, staying in a veterinary clinic, and introducing a new cat or person.

The Feliway diffuser is an electric diffuser with a 48 ml vial that has been proven to reduce cats' stress symptoms and restore their natural balance. The electronic diffuser effectively distributes the Feliway scent in a room of approximately 50 - 70m². The scent lasts for about four weeks.

Clinical studies have shown that Feliway significantly reduces urine marking by 74 - 98% and that stress in hospitalized cats is reduced, leading to increased food intake and grooming behaviour - the general signs of a healthy cat.

It can also be an effective way to control other undesirable cat behaviours, such as scratching, loss of appetite, or refusal to play and interact.
Cats react to various situations with signs of stress. It is often difficult for the owner to understand why their cat behaves in a certain way.
The following are some examples of stressful situations:

- after separation from the mother
- as a newcomer to a new owner
- when changing environment (moving, holidays, boarding kennels...)
- during transport
- when changing furniture
- when visitors or tradespeople are present

Cats show very different reactions to stress, some of which can also be very unpleasant for the owner.

Stress reactions can include, for example:

- urine marking
- scratch marking
- stress-related reduced food intake
- stress-related reduced activity and playfulness

What are feel-good pheromones?
Feel-good pheromones are odour messengers produced by cats in the lower facial area.

What do feel-good pheromones do?
Cats mark the area where they feel particularly comfortable or where they eat and sleep by characteristically rubbing their head against objects.
This attaches the feel-good pheromone to the object, thus marking this room as a stress-free space.

The use of a product that takes advantage of this effect of natural pheromones reduces stress in cats, as they receive a feel-good signal in these places.

Feliway is also available as a spray.

Instructions for use
1. Against urine marking and/or scratching:
Use the FELlWAY®-DIFFUSER in the room where the marking/scratching occurred.
If the cat has marked in several rooms (with an area of more than 70 m²), use an additional FELlWAY diffuser for each affected room. 2. Against loss of appetite, exhaustion, reduced social interaction and reduced play drive
In this case, use the FELlWAY diffuser in the room most used by the cat.
